Domain Hunter Gatherer is an awesome tool which helps you find expired domains.
Get Domain Hunter Gatherer installed then follow my full video tutorial which shows you exactly how to use it.

Start by clicking ‘Expired Domain Hunter’ and enter your keywords into ‘Hunt From Keywords’-
This will then bring back websites that currently rank for those keywords which have expired domains.
You can sort through and pick out any good ones.
Another search you can do is ‘Hunt From Website(s)’.
Just enter in the website that you want to search for that has links to the expired domains-
This way you can be safe in the knowledge that the domain has some strong links pointing at it.
You can also use the ‘Reverse Hunt Domains’ tool.
Here you enter in a domain and then you can find all the sites that are linking to it and then it will see if any of those sites also link to expired domains-
This means you can find expired domains that have links pointing to competitors too.
Just work through each set of results and you can pull out the domains that have really good metrics.
Usually, I look at the Majestics Citation Flow and Trust Flow but you can add in other metrics dependent on your clients preference.
Another cool tool you can use is Serped’s Expired Scraper Tool.
If you enter a high authority website that you would like a backlink from…
You will then get a list of all the domains that it links to that have expired.
Sort through the results and pick the best of the bunch.
